Your path with this card
What you create reveals itself in the doing. With every move your skill grows, and every small success makes you surer for the next. The Magician invites you to pick up your tools.
- Which ability in you is waiting to be put to use?
- What would you take on if you trusted your skill completely?
In the shadow
Skill becomes a show, will becomes manipulation. The Magician reminds you to use your power for something greater than your ego.
The image and its meaning
His magical powers rest on mastery of the 4 elements that lie before him: the wand of fire, the cup of water, the sword of air and the pentacle of earth.
He lets his will become reality. For this he needs inspiration, energy and control over matter. His secret and his power lie in merging his unconscious with his conscious mind, letting his will become real.
He submits to the magical laws and creates balance between the elemental forces. He receives and gives at the same time. He is a channel between the subtle and the material world.
The Magician uses every means of communication, acts playfully and dynamically, and brings his intellect, his imagination, his courage and his body into play. He is full of self-confidence, masculinity, potency and sexuality. In the tension between ignorance and knowledge he shows adaptability.
But he can also become treacherous and often lead us to dangerous places and into hopeless situations.
