Your path with this card

In the shadow
Here the card itself lies in shadow: shock, conflict, shattered illusions. It invites you to trust the upheaval, even when it hurts.
The image and its meaning
The Tower symbolizes the restrictive principles of our beliefs.
At first the walls grow up into an imposing royal tower. As with the Tower of Babel, dogmatic opinions and views harden. The tower no longer has a door to leave it.
At some point, the lightning of objective truth strikes the towering prison and brings it crashing down. At first a world collapses when the illusion falls apart. But the divine sparks accompany the falling people as they fall into freedom.
The Tower reminds us that the many fairy tales and dogmas that act on us every day will one day collapse unexpectedly. Only when we are suddenly hurled out of the window of our supposed illusion do we become aware of its full significance.
