Justice
The Clear Judgment
The energy of the card
With scales and sword, Justice sits between two pillars. She stands for clarity, fairness and self-responsibility – for the law that you reap what you sow.
Your path with this card
Every honest weighing brings you closer to your truth. What you decide clearly today bears fruit tomorrow. Justice invites you to take responsibility for your decisions.
- What is truly fair here – for everyone involved?
- What are you taking responsibility for right now?
In the shadow
Judgment becomes condemnation, clarity becomes coldness. She reminds you to be fair and gentle with yourself, too.
The image and its meaning
The Justice card leads us to engage with the laws of life.
It does not matter whether our decisions are good or bad – what matters is that we are ready to take responsibility for every conceivable consequence. Scales and sword, measuring and cutting through, weighing and deciding form one unity. Every gain also demands a sacrifice, every reward a small deprivation.
Shifting the blame onto others does not help us – whoever blames others gives others the power. Whoever carries the blame and the responsibility, whoever is able to bear the consequences, also increases their own power and success. When decisions are pending, these aspects need to be weighed.
Whoever sets out to work with unfair means will fail. Justice means taking responsibility. This also includes examining values and norms imposed by others on your own, and being ready at any time to question them and perhaps cast them off in favor of your own sense of justice.
