Temperance
The Right Blend
The energy of the card
An angel pours water back and forth between two cups, one foot in the water, one on land. The card stands for harmony, serenity and the right measure – for the art of finding the right blend.
Your path with this card
Balance arises in the flow, with every small adjustment. Step by step you find out what is good for you. Temperance invites you to trust your inner sense of measure.
- What is the right measure for you right now?
- Which two sides of you want to flow together?
In the shadow
Harmony becomes indifference, measure becomes lukewarmness. It reminds you that passion, too, has its place in the balance.
The image and its meaning
Body, mind and soul must be mixed and weighed anew again and again in our daily lives.
The guardian angel symbolizes our spiritual power, which leads our self into the light. We must constantly weigh how much we are willing to give or to take. What matters is the right mixture – every day is different.
A path leads to the sun, in which the crown is found. It is the goal. Only with the right balance of the components of our soul do we reach it.
The mixing does not happen with a measuring cup or a strict recipe, but by eye and by intuition. This careful balance of the soul demands a great deal of flexibility from us. We must always find a mixture we feel good with – otherwise we poison our soul.
There is no perfect mixture – every day we must weigh anew which steps we take. To do this, we must experiment anew every day and adapt to ever new situations. Whoever has understood this message of Temperance will be crowned with success at the end of their path.
